Usually on World Book Day, we dress up in school. Unfortunately, this year we can’t do that, well not yet anyway.
So, today we will be joining in with lots of fun activities based around some of our favourite books.

Today for your spellings I want you to complete the word search for your group.
If you are at home and cannot do the word search draw a picture and hide your words inside it.

Today’s focus is the story of:
TASK: I would like you to design and create your own super vegetable. (I would love to see some real vegetables decorated)
Today we are going to create diagrams to show favourite books of teachers in school.
We will correct the tally chart, create a pictogram and a learn how to do a block diagram (bar chart)
TASK: Create a pictogram from the information above with the picture representing 2

In English today, you created your very own superhero.
TASK: I would like you to create a story for your super character and use a story board to help you.
Read your story to someone. Did they like it?
I would like you to spend the rest of the day reading or listening to your favourite stories, drawing pictures of your favourite characters or doing any crafts you would like to celebrate world book day.
