Spelling

Here are your spellings below:

Challenge:

Today, in spelling, I would like you to write each spelling with your right hand and then repeat the activity with your left hand.

After you have done that, please put 5 of them into sentences like my example below:

I am clapping my hands happily to the music – I have used two spellings in that sentence. Can you do the same?

Phonics

Today in phonics, you are going to think of rhyming words. Look at the words below and see if you can think of three words to rhyme with each one.

After you have completed your first activity, look at each word and underline them using the following colours

  • If the word is a noun, underline it blue.
  • If the word is an adjective, underline it green.
  • If the word is a verb, underline it red.

English

Today in English, we are going to continue with our story mountain. Yesterday, you all completed the beginning paragraph so what section do you think you will be writing today? We are going to be writing the build up. For the build up section we are going to write about the following events:

  • Snow White running away
  • Snow White finding the cottage
  • Snow White cleaning the cottage
  • Snow White meeting 6 of the dwarves

In Maths today, we are going to work on doubling. Please watch the video below to further your knowledge.

After you have watched the video, have a go at the doubles below. Then complete some of the activities on the worksheets. Remember when the number is greater than 10, double the tens first and then the ones – don’t forgot to add the tens and ones together to get your answer.

Reading

For your first reading activity today, I would like you to complete a new book cover for Snow White and the Very Angry Dwarf.

Then have a look at the reading comprehension below and complete the questions.

PE

For your PE lesson today, I would like you to start by completing the following activities. After you have completed them once, have a rest and then repeat them.

  • 50 star jumps
  • 60 second jog on the spot
  • 20 squats
  • 30 lunges
  • 60 second high knees

I would then like you to watch and join in with Jo Wicks on the video below.

After you have watched the video, talk to someone about how you feel. Do you feel tired or do you have more energy? Are your muscles aching? Are you out of breath?
