Good morning. I can't believe we are coming to the end of another week for our home learning. It has been lovely to hear what all the pre-nursery and nursery children have been up to. Thank you to everyone for your emails - please continue to send them.
Making Shapes - using a ribbon, piece of string, scarf or a piece of material encourage your child to make shapes in the air. They can make it go round and round, up and down etc. This will develop some of the skills they will need in their pencil control. Please remember you might need a little bit of space to do this!
Singing number rhymes - join in with the singing of some of our favourite number rhymes with Chris Nixon.
Phonics - Rhythm and Rhyme - Silly Soup (Rhyming words) - Watch the clip. Encourage your child to join in with the song. See if you think of some more rhyming words.
Goldilocks and the 3 Bears - Remind your child about the story you watched yesterday and then share the story below with your child. The story gives opportunities to use the language of size such as small, tiny, large etc. You could find things around the house that are small or large. You could also use the story as a basis for a discussion about was it right for Goldilocks to go into the Bears house? You could even make and have a taste of some porridge!
